Rep. Bill Johnson

In 2010, Johnson was elected to his first term to represent the people of Ohio’s 6th Congressional District, which now covers much of Eastern Ohio. In November of 2022, Congressman Johnson was elected to a 7th term to serve the people of Eastern Ohio. He retained his seat on the powerful House Energy & Commerce Committee that is charged with providing a key role in developing America’s energy, healthcare, and telecommunications policies (among others), while providing oversight on the Administration’s implementation of these laws.

In January of 2023, he was selected by his Republican colleagues to lead the Environment, Manufacturing & Critical Materials Subcommittee. As the Chairman of the Subcommittee, Congressman Johnson will advance policies that keep our air and water clean, while putting American energy independence and the American people first.
