Currently in his 4th term representing Michigan’s 1st District, Congressman Jack Bergman proudly serves as a member of the House Armed Services Committee – including in his role as Chairman of the Intelligence and Special Operations Subcommittee and also as a Member of the Military Personnel Subcommittee. He also sits on the House Committee on Veteran’s Affairs and the House Budget Committee. Michigan’s 1st District has one of the highest percentage of Veterans of any Congressional District in the Nation. He is the highest ranking combat veteran (Lt. General in the United States Marine Corps) to have ever served in the U.S. House of Representatives.
