Joe Kaufman

Joe Kaufman is a candidate for U.S. Congress, Florida District 23. As the Republican Nominee for the same seat in 2024, Joe received 48% of the vote against Democrat Jared Moskowitz. It was the closest race in all Florida and the highest percentage any Republican has ever received in running for that seat. Joe has an extensive background in counter-terrorism, national security, and foreign policy. As a Shillman Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center and Chairman of the Joe Kaufman Security Initiative, Joe has assisted Homeland Security, the FBI, and other agencies to hold terror-related extremists accountable. In 2024, Joe successfully led the shutdown of a pro-Hamas conference that was to take place in Coral Springs, Florida. He was sued by the conference organizers, including CAIR, and won – the court dismissing the case in its entirety. Joe has also been deeply involved in the opposition to the Ayatollah regime in Iran, earning endorsements from prominent figures such as His Majesty Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi. Joe’s advocacy extends to Venezuela, where he and his wife Emily, a Spanish and Hebrew teacher from Peru, have family, advocating for freedom against the Maduro regime. And Joe has contributed to anti-corruption and crime reduction efforts in the Caribbean, working closely with the Gabriel Policy Institute, a Jamaican security group, obtaining an endorsement from its founder. This is what Trump Admin Border Czar Tom Homan said about Joe: “With his impressive background in National Security, Joe Kaufman brings a wealth of experience and expertise that will make him an invaluable asset in Congress… He is an AMERICA FIRST man that is dedicated to the safety and security of this nation. He is the right guy, at the right time, and the ideal candidate to represent our interests in Washington.” Joe and his wife Emily are raising their 12-year-old daughter, Ruth.
