Congressman Mike Waltz represents Florida’s 6th District, and is currently in his 3rd term. He currently serves on the House Armed Services Committee, the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. He is the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Readiness.
He was selected for the elite Green Berets, serving worldwide as a Special Forces officer with multiple combat tours in Afghanistan, the Middle East and Africa. For his actions in combat, Mike was awarded four Bronze Stars, including two for Valor. He is the first Green Beret to be elected to Congress.
His servant leadership continued in the Pentagon as a defense policy director for Secretaries of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and Robert Gates. He then went on to serve in the White House as Vice President Dick Cheney’s counterterrorism advisor.
