Elected in 2020, Congressman Troy Nehls proudly represents the 22nd Congressional District of Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives. He currently serves on the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, and the House Committee on the Judiciary. Additionally, he is the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials.
A veteran who retired from the military after 21 years of service, he attained the rank of Major and earned two Bronze Star medals after deploying on combat tours to Iraq and Afghanistan, among other places. Prior to his time in Congress, he served in various law enforcement roles, as Constable for Fort Bend County Precinct 4, and Fort Bend County Sheriff.
