West Point graduate Wesley Hunt served for eight years as an Army pilot. He was deployed twice to Saudi Arabia and completed a combat deployment to Iraq. Subsequently, he returned to his hometown of Houston, where he worked in the real estate and construction industries and became active in community service. As a freshman member of Congress, Hunt has focused on border security, energy security, and national security. He describes himself as a constitutional conservative and is committed to building bridges between the GOP and black voters.
